The Dark - Plum Cold - Edge Katana is made of Tamahagane-like steel, it's master self-refined steel, this is a unique formula and process obtained by the master based on decades of experience. The blade is clay - tempered to form a unique real hamon, rigid and sharp, as cold and sharp as a freezing edge.
The tsuba is made of iron, engraved with plum blossom patterns. In both Chinese and Japanese cultures, plum blossoms often symbolize perseverance and nobility.
The handle is inlaid with ray - skin, providing a comfortable grip.
The whole katana is mainly black, creating a cold and elegant artistic conception. It weighs 1.29 kg (2.84 lbs) with the scabbard and 0.98 kg (2.16 lbs) without it.
