Dao, known as the "courage of all weapons" in ancient China, dates back to the Neolithic Age. Characterized by a single-edged design, it excels in slashing attacks and serves functions in combat, self-defense, and personal adornment. A common weapon in ancient armies and civilian life, it was used in battle and also worn as a daily accessory to showcase the user’s valiant spirit.

This Po Yue Dao follows the classic short dao design, with a sharp blade carved with intricate patterns. The handle is made of solid wood, paired with a minimalist handguard and wrapped in matching cord. The scabbard is crafted from smooth, grained solid wood, accented with bindings, creating a composed and aggressive appearance. The name "Po Yue" translates to "smashing mountains and splitting peaks, unstoppable," symbolizing the dao’s formidable power—able to cleave through mountains, embodying the swift and fierce nature of the short dao in combat.
